Privacy policy
The short version: this website collects nothing about you, and our apps collect as little as they can get away with. The long version follows.
Who we are
Aeolian Digital ("we", "us") is an independent app studio based in Washington, DC, United States. You can reach us at hello@aeoliandigital.com.
This website
aeoliandigital.com is a static website. It does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising. We do not run any scripts that identify you or follow you to other sites.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, browser type, timestamp) for security and operations. Those logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build profiles.
Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google receives your IP address and the page request. Google's handling of that data is described in its own privacy policy.
Contacting us
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you send: your name, email address, and message. We use it to reply to you and for no other purpose. We keep correspondence as long as it is useful for resolving your question or tracking a bug, then delete it. We do not sell it or share it with anyone outside the studio except as required by law.
Our apps
Apps published by Aeolian Digital are designed to work without accounts and without sending your data to us. Unless an app's own listing says otherwise:
- Your content stays on your device, or in your own cloud storage (such as iCloud) under your control.
- We do not collect analytics, usage data, or identifiers.
- If an app connects to a server you specify (for example, a media server you run), that connection is between your device and that server. We have no visibility into it.
- Crash reports, if you have enabled them at the operating-system level, go to Apple and are shared with us in aggregated, anonymized form.
Where an app does something different, its App Store listing and in-app settings will say so specifically. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Children
Our website and apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@aeoliandigital.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws; we honor those requests regardless of location.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting an app will also be noted in that app's release notes.
